Conscious?
Are you really aware of where you are right now?
Are you really aware of where you are right now, the air temperature, the scent of the things around you, and the comfort level of your body? Have you drunk any water in the last two hours or gone to the bathroom? Is it time now?
Have you looked away from your computer screen or TV to some object more than 20 feet away to rest your eyes? Have you rolled your shoulders or stretched your neck or actually gotten up to walk around for a moment?
Take a minute to Be HERE Now.
Opening your consciousness to the idea that we each create our own world is difficult, because much of what is in our worlds, we don’t want.
The problem with conscious creation is becoming aware of where we are now and being willing to put some time into allowing and thinking about what we do want.
It takes time to appreciate what is good and beautiful and desirable about our lives. Without that appreciation, those things and experiences slip away and are gone.
Sometimes they are long gone before you realize you miss them.
One of the mind games we often play with our acquaintance is “Ain’t it Awful.” We focus on all the things that we don’t like, that we think are wrong, and that SOMEONE should DO something about. But no one ever does. And if they try, then we bemoan the uselessness of their efforts.
What a bummer.
Whatever you pay attention to is your world.
FOMO?
If you don’t smell the roses, you have missed out. If you don’t take a minute to enjoy the coffee you made for breakfast, you miss out on the pleasure of the smell and taste, while waiting for the go-juice to kick in.
If you spend your creative energy complaining about the other people on the highway, the different perspectives of coworkers, or the lack of long stretches of time for you to fulfill your dream, then you have missed a chance to create your own world.
If you take moments as they come— enjoying a line of birds settling in for the night on the power line to the stoplight instead of fuming that you had to stop once again before completing your next errand—you put more and more stress hormones into your already overloaded body.
Stress hormones do lots of nasty things to your body, like making it insulin-resistant.
Not appreciating where and when you are at a given moment worsens the effects of an overstimulated, harried life. Do you really HAVE to do all the things on your to-do list?
Overstimulation is part of the problem. We are inundated with people and devices demanding our attention. We are so driven to be “productive” that we spin our metaphorical wheels. If you are busy rocking in a rocking chair, you still aren’t getting anywhere.
To have the creative energy to begin to dream your ideal life into reality, you need to stop wasting it on trying to make other people wrong for not wanting what you want.
Think about what you do want. Take a moment many times during a busy day to think of what you do have, especially if you have a job, a spouse, children, a home, electricity, running hot and cold water, a refrigerator, a bed, and a bathroom!
Think about how many blessings you have, and how close you really are to the life you want. If you can relax and appreciate even for 17 seconds every hour, you will begin to be the change you want to see, and you will be creating consciously.

This made me pause in the middle of my tea. I looked around the room like I had just arrived in my own life. Funny how consciousness sneaks in like a quiet friend, sits beside you, and says, ‘Did you notice the magic happening right now?’
